Arts Honor Society

The Arts Honor Society recognizes CLPS students who exhibit excellence in the fine arts. Members of the AHS are musicians, artists, or thespians who desire to enjoy the arts with others, serve their community with their artistic skills, and grow as leaders in our school.

Upper school students who participated or are currently participating in at least one upper school fine arts seasonal course (choir, solo and ensemble, drama production, or art club) may join the Arts Honor Society.

Areas of Focus

1. Creation: As a fine arts honor society, the AHS is centered on creation and enjoyment of art, music, and theatre. Members may create different things together throughout the year, and we will have several opportunities to enjoy art, music, and theatre in our community by attending concerts, plays, or museums together.
2. Service: Members will serve the school and broader community with their talents in the fine arts. Members of AHS will have opportunities to participate in service opportunities throughout the school year.
3. Leadership: Members will also receive leadership training from other leads in the arts. This is a great opportunity to be mentored and be part of a larger community of artistic people. Additionally, members may be eligible to serve in a leadership position within AHS, such as President, Vice President, Historian, and Treasurer)

Our first meeting is during lunch this Wednesday, September 17 in the 5/6 Room.
