The Learning Lab is used in the following scenarios:
Students with Accommodations
The Learning Lab is a designated place for the following purposes:
- to allow students with accommodations a place for individual testing
- to allow students with accommodations extended time for exams that are NOT able to be completed in Study Hall (where they still need individual proctoring)
- If a student does not have a study hall period but is finished with school at 3pm, we will arrange a proctor for 3-4pm to give them time to finish their exam. If this conflicts with their schedule the learning lab coordinator will arrange for a proctor on Tuesday or Thursday.
- If a student does not have a study hall and gets out of school at 4pm, the learning lab coordinator will arrange with the parents another day to come up to school and finish the exam at the earliest convenience with a proctor. Teachers must let the learning lab coordinator know as soon as possible.
- If a student with accommodations that has previously not utilized a certain service begins to need to utilize them.
- If a student's parent contacts you about their student needing additional accommodations or anything different than what has been sent to you as their teacher, please notify the ASC Learning Lab as soon as possible.
Students with a full schedule MWF and no accommodations
The Learning lab may be used to make-up exams that cannot be scheduled during Study Hall MWF.
- For students who go to school 8:30-4pm so they need to make up an exam on Tuesday or Thursday.
Study Hall is used for testing in the following scenarios:
