6th-12th grade students are invited to join us for a retreat at Camp Copass Retreat Center on September 29-30. This will be a great time of worship, small groups, speakers, activities and making friends. Most activities will be centered around House System groups and competition and fellowship.
Students will have an altered schedule, and will only attend certain classes on Friday, September 29. We will load busses around 1:30 pm and will travel by chartered bus to Denton, Texas. ALL STUDENTS MUST RIDE ON THE BUS.
Students should wear their house shirts and "Out of Uniform" bottoms to school. When we get to the retreat they may change into fingertip-length shorts. The chaperones will enforce the dress code for the retreat and students will need to change if their clothing does not appear to conform to the guidelines.
Our hope is to build House and School unity through shared vision and bonding time with secondary students!
Students will return to CLPS at 4:00 pm, Saturday, September 24.

In case of injury:
Any injury will be communicated to parents. In case of major fall or head injury, students will be taken to the Emergency Room and must be released by medical staff to return to retreat or go home with parent.
There will be a chaperone ratio of 1 per every 10 students. All student activities and movements will be supervised by chaperones. We are requiring students to stay in groups of 3 or more when moving about the campgrounds. Chaperones must be present at all events and students may not move to areas that are not chaperoned. There will be bed checks throughout the night.
Camp Copass was chosen because it has great sightlines for our adults to see multiple play areas at one time. There will also be a golf cart which circulates with water and first aid and to ensure everyone is healthy and under supervision.
Our staff members will make up the majority of the chaperone group. Our faculty and staff receive back ground checks and additional Ministry Safe training every two years and are actively looking to ensure the safety of all of our students during this event. All parent chaperones have been background-checked and will be paired with CLPS staff members in dorm settings.
