Junior High One Act Play competition season is here, and Directors Brook Campbell and Jenny Blair invite you to audition for CLPS production of “The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane.”
This audition is open to any middle school (grades 6-8) student.
This cast and crew will compete in the CSAF One Act Play District competition on April 25 and continue to regional competition on May 9. Students will be eligible to receive medals for best actor and actress, as well as all-star cast and honorable mention all-star cast. We will also need responsible students to run our lights and sound and care for our wardrobe. The competition also gives awards for light and sound technicians.
We will also have a school performance of our show on May 3.
Please see the detailed schedule below to make sure that your student is available. Students must be able to perform on April 25, May 3, and May 9 in order to participate.
CLPS has done very well with our one act plays in the past. We want to continue this great tradition. Join us February 19 and 21 from 3:00-4:00 pm in the 5/6 room for auditions. There is a possibility that you will be called back for an additional audition on Friday, February 23, as well. Mrs. Campbell and Mrs. Blair will explain how the auditions work and give you a chance to do some reading from the script. If you have lots of experience or none at all, you will do fine at the audition!
