Dear (Business Owner Name or Employer Name), Greetings! My name is (INSERT NAME), and I am the proud parent of children who attend Christian Life Preparatory School in Fort Worth, Texas. Starting this fall, Texas House Bill 3 requires all public Texas school districts to have an armed officer on every campus, including elementary, junior high and high school. Although state funds are available to public schools to help fund this security initiative, Texas has not made funds available to private schools. The unfortunate result is a huge safety gap between public and private institutions. Private Texas schools are left to either raise the funds to support their own security efforts or leave themselves even more vulnerable to a security risk.
As a result, the Board and admin team at CLPS are embarking on an ambitious fundraising initiative to support enhanced security measures at our school. Beginning fall 2023, we are endeavoring to raise $160,000 to fund various safety initiatives. As a small private school with families across various economic demographics, this is a huge undertaking, and we cannot do it without outside community support.
