Zachary Henry, Head of School
Zachary Henry graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1997, he was ordained as a minister of the gospel by Christ-Life Church.
In August of 2002, he opened Christian Life Preparatory School with his wife and co-founder, Deborah Henry. He currently serves as the Head of School. Zach and Deborah are parents of four children three of which have graduated from CLPS. They are members of Antioch Fort Worth and currently serve as interim administrators of Harvest Fields Bible College in Limuru, Kenya. Zach also serves as the administrator of Harvest Childcare and Enrichment Center in south Fort Worth. |
Dr. Deborah Henry, Principal
Amy Hay
Mrs. Hay has been at CLPS since 2007 where she has served as Office Manager, Assistant Administrator and now Vice Principal. She has taught Biology, AP Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Life Science, Earth Science, Texas History, World Geography, Advising, and Drama.
Amy Hay graduated with a BA in Sociology with a History minor from the University of Oklahoma in 2006 and a Masters in Educational Administration from Texas Christian University in 2015. CLPS is a family affair and a way of life. Mrs. Hay is married to CLPS Director of Family Ministries, Dan Hay. Together they have four spunky children, Sadie, Jackson, Bonnie, Ruth and new baby due September of 22. Mrs. Hay loves theater, movies and books, is addicted to spotify, karaoke, memes and could eat Mexican food everyday...especially enchiladas. The Hays attend South Burleson Baptist Church. |
Dan Hay, Director of Family Ministries
Mr. Hay coordinates all student and family character programs, the upper school House System. He also coordinates the annual England Cultural Exchange trip.
Mr. Hay earned a BA in English from Arizona State University in 2002. He is a Certified Texas teacher Generalist 4-8, Science 4-8 and an ESL endorsement. He has his Masters Degree in Theological Studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He joined the team at CLPS in 2012 after teaching in FWISD. Before that he worked for an NSF Grant at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. Before teaching, Mr. Hay spent ten years in collegiate ministry at Arizona State and then at the University of Oklahoma. He's married to Amy Hay, and they have 5 kids: Sadie, Jackson, Bonnie, Ruth and new baby due Sept. of 22. Mr. Hay loves spending time in God's Word, hanging out with the family and watching movies. He attends South Burleson Baptist Church and helps out by leading worship. He's also a gearhead and love anything with wheels. In his spare time Dan enjoys tinkering with old cars. |
Dr. Mark Tarpley, Academic Specialist
Dr. Mark Tarpley joined CLPS in 2015. He currently serves as Academic Specialist and leads the upper school history and math departments. Dr. Tarpley has also taught Medieval history, logic, and Latin as well as led a literary society called The Little Inklings at CLPS.
Dr. Tarpley completed his doctoral work in Patristics and ethics at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX in 2009. He is a state-certified math 8-12 teacher in the state of Texas. He also previously served as Director of Education for a medical education company for five years and is the founder of a test prep company. He and his wife Sophia have seven children and live in Ft. Worth, TX. Their children have attended CLPS since 2010. |
Mollie Shaw, Learning Specialist
Academic Success Center
Mrs. Shaw received her B.S. in Education and Secondary Language Arts from Texas A&M University and later went on to earn her M. Ed in Educational Therapy from Southeastern University. She is a certified NILD Educational Therapist, a certified ESL teacher, and received her IDA certification in 2017.
Mrs. Shaw's journey at CLPS began in 2008. In 2009 she became the English Department Head and taught grades 9 through 12 until 2013. From 2013 to 2017 she was a private tutor, an English, History, and Math teacher, co-founded a school, was a private Educational Therapist, and started her own business. She now owns and operates Trinity Harbor Education in addition to holding her position at CLPS as the Learning Specialist. Mrs. Shaw has been happily married for over 35 years and is a mother to six wonderful children. In her free time she enjoys riding and training horses as well as spending time with her family. |

Rachel Canady, Registrar and Textbook Coordinator
Ms. Canady earned her Bachelor of Science in Math Education with a minor in Library Science from Louisiana Tech University.
Ms. Canady is the high school math teacher at CLPS and has taught here for 13 years. She was a public school math teacher for four years, and a school librarian for five years before coming to CLPS. The mixture of being able to teach and being able to stay home with her children while working here was a God-given blessing to her. Ms. Canady grew up in Louisiana, has three children, and attends McKinney Bible Church. She enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling. |

Tara Hobbs, Office Manager
Tara Hobbs is a parent at CLPS who serves as the Front Office Manager. When you call the school, you will most likely hear her voice when she picks up the phone. She can help with all general activities of the school or direct you to the staff member in charge.
Her office hours are during regular operation of the school: School Year: Monday through Friday, 8:15 am- 4:30 pm Summer: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 am- 12:00 pm |
Daniel Nieboer, Athletic Director
Coach Nieboer has been coaching for more than 22 years both in Ohio and Texas and has coached football, track and field, powerlifting, soccer and wrestling. Most recently he was the Assistant Athletic Director, Head Track Coach and Head Junior High Football Coach at Grace Prep in Arlington.
He loves seeing how God can be glorified through competition, how relationships can be formed on teams, and how athletes can grow spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically through sports. Coach Nieboer has been married to his wife Katelyn since 2011, and they have two children: a son Naaman and a daughter Philippa. Coach Nieboer is extremely excited about joining the CLPS Family and helping to build a strong Athletics program. |
Sharon Amberger- Yearbook &
Academic and Fine Arts Competition Coordinator
Sharon Amberger graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in History and a minor in Biblical Studies.
Mrs. Amberger has been the Youth and Government adviser since the fall of 2011 she taught World History/AP World History from the fall of 2017 through the spring of 2019. She has taught 6th Grade U.S. History since the fall of 2019. Mrs. Amberger, along with her family, has attended Christ Chapel Bible Church since 1998. She has been a 4th Grade Girls Sunday School teacher, 5th/6th Girls Small group leader, 7th/8th Girls Small Group Leader and High School Girls Small Group leader. She enjoys scrapbooking, spending time with family, hiking, biking, swimming. She and her husband Brad have three children, Joe, Ryan and Sarah. Joe graduated from CLPS in 2014, followed by Ryan in 2017 and Sarah in 2020. |
Sarah Morgan- Technology Coordinator
Sarah Morgan has received her BFA degree in Film/Television/Video with a Minor in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Arlington. She has received her Elementary EC-4 Education degree from Region XI.
Sarah has worked in FWISD teaching third grade and at CLPS teaching third grade and computer courses since 2004. She has taken a short hiatus to raise her 3 young children, 2 of which attend CLPS. Sarah is married to another computer techie- Mark, and they have three children. They love to worship together, travel together, and serve together. |
