Time commitment: 4 nights a week (M,T,Th,F) which includes two games and two (2 hour) practices.
Elementary sports are 3 nights a week with two games and one (1hr) practice (Typically Friday because those students are not in class).
Cross Country (XC) practice early morning T/Th and have early Saturday morning meets throughout the fall.
Travel to games is provided by parents. Volleyball teams typically meet to carpool to away games.
CLPS does not hold traditional tryouts for teams. Students that enroll are included in the team. Some larger teams may be split into a Varsity and Junior Varsity based on skill level, or Team 1 and Team 2 based on team size.
Teams hold practices two weeks prior to each season opening. Elementary teams will initially practice 3 times a week and then decrease to 1 practice per week during the regular season. Varsity teams may have the privilege of extra practices with coaching staff.
All teams listed above are offered each school year during the enrollment period, however, they must have proper enrollment to officially form. Thus, not all teams listed above are guaranteed to make each year.

Students in grades 10-12 are eligible to purchase a letterman jacket (through sports and fine arts participation) if they have played two seasons of the same sport during grades 9-12. Select drama students are also eligible to purchase jackets if they have met the requirements set by the drama department. Please contact Mrs. Hay for drama lettering details. Jacket ordering and fitting is held once a year in the Spring, dates are announced after Christmas break via email.
PLEASE NOTE** For those who lettered this year, but do not have the money to pay at the time of fittings, orders can still be submitted and payments can be made online, at a later date. Your order will be held until full payment is complete and your jacket will arrive 6-8 weeks after the last payment is received.
Please contact me or Coach Nieboer if you are unsure if your student is eligible to purchase a jacket. Ineligible students will not be allowed to place an order, as they have not completed lettering requirements.
